About SINE, IIT Bombay
At IIT Bombay, the Society for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (SINE) serves as an umbrella group for promoting tech start-ups and entrepreneurship. It manages a business incubator that turns research activities into company enterprises and offers “start to scale” support for technology-based entrepreneurship.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Help the Portfolio team with the execution of several startup assistance programs and portfolio management from start to finish.
- Complete incubation/investment term sheets and agreements in close collaboration with senior team members and the legal team.
- Arrange for frequent updates with funders, the legal team, startups, and other stakeholders.
- Assist in developing offline and online procedures for managing and carrying out all investment-related tasks.
- Assist with portfolio documentation and reporting
- Monitor progress, gather data, and track portfolio performance
- Recognize different funding opportunities and link them to pertinent portfolio companies
- Help with corporate and governmental long-term funding plans for businesses, including handling financial, administrative, and reporting tasks.
- Help with startup application screening and evaluation of competition, business viability, and technological originality, among other things.
- Assist the outreach, portfolio, and partnership teams in planning startup activities and events (such as Demo Day and Investor Day).
